Was surposed to be goin for the induction at the gym. Got it tried to start it... Nothingg again nothing again tried to start but didnt. Tried again started with a bit of accelorater. Turned round no i dont no if it was smoke or steam. Went to the gym in misses car came home checked the water level. it was below min....

did you try to start it again?


Start with the basic stuff, check your battery.

I dont wanna start it case it does damage to it.

so she's turning over but not firing?

are you 100% certain the coolant level was above the min mark before you had the issue (when did you last check it)?

any messages/lights on the dash?

have you just keyed straight over or did you turn the key to MAR for 5 secs then try to start?

how good is your battery voltage?

Richy......Are there any benefits to be had by turning the key to the MAR position for 5 seconds before starting ? Its something I always do with the Stilo to give the warning lights etc time to register properly before starting andit always fires first time.

yeah the fuel pump gets the system upto pressure before initial starting... probably a practice i have picked up from diesels and such with preheat but mine seems to start with more ease by doing it

i agree, and I do this with any petrol car, in fact, with any car full stop. if you listen (and have great hearing like i do) you can hear the pumps on some cars..

No lights or messages on dash... I checked it 2 days ago it was a little under minimum so i topped it up.

I havent tried to start it since before the gym.

And it wouldnt start at the begininng but it then started eventually.

When i was watchin wheeler dealers they took the spark plugs out and turned it over to get the water out think its a good idea??
