Hi this has happened about 3 times now over the past 3 months. When I try and start my car nothing happens. It's completely dead. Non of the lights on the dash even come up. I was thinking battery but cd player, lights and locks are working fine. If I leave it for ten minutes and then try starting it again it starts fine. Anyone have any ideas what would be causing this

check your engine bay fuse box for corrosion and faulty relays, check the D4 connector underneath it ,check ground connections and check your ignition switch....
Does your starter motor turn over ok?

Yeah it starts fine usually, checked the d4 connector already and sprayed electrical spray and wrapped it in clingfilm. How can I tell a faulty relay? And where us the ground connection? Already checked the ignition switch and couldn't see anything suspicious . Cheers for your reply

A faulty relay could manifest itself in failing to start.... A failed relay will manifest its self in not starting until replaced.

Not sure how much your specific relay will cost but it won't be extortionate to buy one to test with.
