Hi,

I had some problems with electrics now and can't connect to engine ecu.

I did scan for models (F11 Scan) and shows all (ABS, Body,...) no engine ecu. Body shows CAN error on line W err. #P1028. It did connect before and all was fine. I was playing with injector actuators 1-6 and then all hell came loose on dashboard with all sorts of trouble. I tought ok battery problem connected to Golf's TDI battery without luck. Recharged the battery also no luck there... or maybe those were old errors I'll go check if I can connect now on engine ecu.

err. P1028 is a strange one doesn't exist on any list I could find?!?

Affraid I killed ECU somehow.

That's a job for super expert.

P1### is a fiat specific code that i dont have listed on my excel document... would like to find out what this is to add it onto my stuff!

I solved that issue.

Bad earth on engine ecu. I move wires and retightened all earth screws and it came to life.


Screwed wire goes to engine under throttle body there's a screw all alone waiting it's earth and the smaller one with those perforation goes under ecu. More stupid location I can't imagine unless they put it inside ecu or something.

B1029 error and no connection to engine ecu. Check earth first. Complain later.
