Hi I bought a stilo 3 door 1,6 16V the other week and I knew it had some issues,
however it has been in the garage and most of them have been fixed, (thankfully)
I have a few niggly bits left though,
there is a warning on the dashboard that says ASR failure, and Im not sure how to fix this,
there is also a brake warning light on but all the brakes have been replaced,

there is also the issue of a flashing milo, it doesnt flash when you take the key out and does when the key is in,
I would like to be able to sort these issues out, but taking them to my local fiat dealer will cost me £40 just for the diagnostics,
Im willing to get a cable of fleabay if it would help, but if someone could link me to the pages to do this that would be great, I think I'd need a step by step guide though

I have the feeling the car has been stood for a while with a dead battery, so could this be the cause and the ecu just need resetting? if so how do I do this?

a full version of FES and the correct cable, preform a proxy alignment and the milage will stop flashing.

as for the brakes, check your brake switch on the pedal. it can cause both the errors you described

Right I have reseached and sort of know what I am doing with this Ecu thing, I just need the right cable,
As I you said the issue might be a brake switch or something so will I need a cable with a switch on (to access the ABS ecu) (more expensive on ebay)
or just a normal cable like the cheaper ones found on ebay?

Looking for a helping hand!

Hi guys,
Ive had my stilo for a few weeks now but the mileage is flashing, I know I need to preform the proxy front end alignment but what I didnt realise is that I need to buy the Fiat ECU software,
I dont suppose there is anyone in East Midlands or Manchester (I move there 2weeks time) that could help? I have the cable I just need someone with the registered version of the software to help me out
