Question for peeps who can work Epr and understand it a bit better than me.

I need to replace the engine wiring loom and need to find out if a 2005 jtd dynamic one would fit ok.
The reason being is that i replaced the broken engine with one from a 52 plate jtd and now have a engine cooling fan fault that i cant get rid of.
So i would like to get a used loom and hopefully it would work and i can have the air con and engine fan working again.
ZFA19200000461398 is chassis number of mine

I just dont understand epr enough to see if a 2005 jtd dynamic engine loom would fit and work. I know the 52 plate are different and the change over was 2004 as my stilo is the Mk2 or slight facelift.

Cheers guys.

Well i have just bought a wiring loom from a 2005 stilo dynamic jtd which had air con and cruise control.
So fingers crossed we should be ok for a wiring transplant.

Well i kinda had figured that out however i was wondering if it was possible to find the part no's off epr maybe so i could have compared them.
Still I will have to try and work it out myself I guess as I never really got to the bottom of it all last time other than the 2 wiring looms were different and the fans were different too. One had a resister and the other a metal box in the place of the resister.

Are there any wiring diagrams for the engine wiring looms for the Jtd stilos pre and after the facelift in 2004????

Wiring looms are a nightmare to get an accurate part number for from ePER. Just looked for your VIN, it shows 16 different front looms depending on what combination of options the car has.

If it's only the cooling ECU wiring you're concerned about, that doesn't come with the front wiring loom, it's attached to the ECU as in the picture below.

The grey plug connects to the fan. Black wire with metal spade connects directly to the battery -ve terminal. Blue connector connects to the bottom of the engine fuse box. Small black connector connects to a small plug in the back of the battery box.

I'd forgotten about that thread, almost 2 years ago.

Just read through it again, Decks seem to have gone through everything in it. I don't really know what else to suggest.

I'm a bit confused as to what you have, if you want to post exactly what you've done with the car, and what wiring, fan ECU or resistor etc. you have in it, we can try to go through it again if you want to.

I know, I remember being so sick of the car and the wiring by the end i just gave up and ran it until i got the van in Feb 2011.
But now the van is going and i would like to sort it out. As i say i do have a wiring loom coming so we will see if 2005 one will work.

Out of interest where would i find the part no for the loom, Somewhere handy or not so handy. Car isn't here at the moment either so i cant look.

The part number tag could be stuck anywhere on the loom. Even more difficult to find it on the front loom because it seems that 2 parts of it go to the back of the car. (rear ABS sensor wiring I suspect).

Well am ever hopefull that the stilo loom that i have bought from a 2005 will, a fit and b work.
Just waiting for a phonecall to see if it has the cruise control plug behind the steering wheel cowling.
If it has then im going to give that a go and see if that might cure the issues.

If not im hoping they will agree to me sending it back for a refund.

Just looked at my 2003 JTD 115. The tag is on the part of the loom going to the glow plug relay on the bulkhead, behind the dipstick tube.

However, as there are at least 16 different front wiring looms, possibly made by different companies or at different factories, the tag may not be in the same place for them all.
