I tried to clean my dashboard with general wipes, these break up and dont achieve anything.

I then bought some MATT Dash Spray, and that simply bounced off the dash and filled the cabin so I could see or breathe.

how the flip do y'all clean the dash? bear in mind, im used to smooth dashboards, not these rubbery matt ones!!

ive done the rest of the plastic trim and its come up bloomin lovely...

I just use a damp microfiber cloth. Lifts all the crap and leaves the dash as Fiat intended.

I find sprays and claimed miracle dash polish/restore products just leave your dash and glossy shinning menace the first time the sun glares off the dash and mirrors in windscreen.

Yes the soft feel dash is a pain to clean/keep clean. I never used to bother until i got fed up with it then airline blow all the dust and dirt off then start again.

I never really found anything useful except a soft brush.

hmmm...sounds like some experimentation is in order. My mate reckons you can get MATT dash wipes, so ill try them as well, although I suspect they will just break up the same as any other wipe-the surface just isnt smooth...

Mine gets a quick wipe with an old t-shirt a couple of times a year. I tried a duster once & all the yellow fluff started sticking to it so i thought sod this.

It never really seems to get that dusty - maybe as it's usually only me in the car & until the a/c packed-up i never opened the windows for more than a couple of minutes, so all the air was coming through the pollen filter.

I do get a damp J-Cloth to the door pulls, steering column surround, steering wheel, seats (leather) etc once a month though. It's certainly not the most demanding car to keep looking decent.

I use Stardrops - get a bottle of it, make a weak diluted mixture in a trigger spray bottle.. a light spray then wipe with kitchen roll or a sponge - I use one of theose dish cleaning sponge scourers on teh sponge side. Stardrops cleans everything, and dries without a residue, it's brilliant for the headlining - spray and wipe with a sponge - it will look darker while damp but dries out perfect. You can also use it on paintwork, alloys, seats, carpets...

I got a Simoitz Car wash bucket, Wax and Shampoo, Tyre Spray, Two types of Interior wipes, Matt and gloss, and a Smelly, from Tesco??

I learned from a car valet who gave my new Punto a spruce up that fairy liquid looks pretty good - what I'm still wondering is how the valets make the car smell so damn good???

friend of mine is a top valeter with his own detailing business and he gave my car a quick once over for me this weekend for a takaway in the evening (normally he can get £200 for a full polish and valet so propper cheap for me.lol.) he made a mixture up with tfr(traffic film remover.) and a damp mirofibre cloth, firstly he wiped the dash with a normal damp cloth, then he made the mixture up of a small bowl of warm water with a couple of squirts of tfr, he wiped the dash down and then buffed it off with the normal cloth and i was amazed how dirty my dash was when he showed me the cloth. he uses brake cleaner a lot also a small paintbrush and the air sprays that you get at poundland to clean computer keyboards. i was amazed at the results he got. :D
