Chaps. I'm a bit fussy over the lines of a car. I like panels to meet correctly and so on. Now, I have noticed on some Stilos the bonnet seems to be lower over the headlight than the wing. Maybe only a few mm but noticeable, on other Stilos you can see clearly this shouldn't be the case. What causes this? On the cars with the issue I have noted that everything else seems OK, headlights appear OK as do wings, but its hard to tell if the bonnet is slightly out of line, is this a common but easy to correct thing?.

Probably the plastic buffers are incorrectly adjusted.

The adjustable center part is on a ratchet. Turn the plastic ring that has a small pointer on it to unlock the ratchet then pull or push the center part to the correct height and lock it by turning the ring back.

They are an incredibly complicated design just for a bonnet buffer, the hexagon plastic/rubber ring to unlock the ratchet is a lefthand thread. Turn it clockwise to unlock it. It should only need half a turn. If you turn it more than 1 complete turn, the whole thing could fall apart.

cheers Davren, where is this bonnet buffer, at the front? I think i understand what you mean though, looking at the photo, the bonnet is being allowed to drop furthur down than it should, so, either the buffer is already damaged, or needs adjusting?

if damaged, can new ones be bought/fitted?

Have you had any accidents recently? :) Do you have the full service history? Maybe a dodgy repair was done.

Mine was repaired and just look at the wonderful gaps. :) Someone even made a joke and said you can pretty much steal the battery from the gap between the bonnet and the headlamp. :p
