My cousin who is in the trade has told me that the trade are liking the 1.9JTD Multiwagon's and values have been climbing in the last 3 months, an increase in values of 20% for a Active/Active Aircon from 2004/04 reg MW's & 25% increase for Dynamic MW's from 2004/04 reg since January 2012.

Just JTD MW's are increasing, Its about time the trade see what a bargain the Stilo MW is.

Something to smile about, lets hope it continues. :D

woo hoo, were thinking of getting rid of both of our wagons now they are nearly back to 100% again, they are great cars if they are looked after especially the jtd models, it just we are thinking of getting one large family car like an smax or a volvo v70 and a smaller car like a punto or fiesta to save on the bills going to work.
we have a 1.6 and 1.9 mws so i wonder what the price i could get now, remember though your only going to get what someone is willing to pay.
i bought the 1.6 4 years ago and payed £1900 (very cheap at the time when the book price for the car was £3500 - clear hpi so i was a bit suprised, she did have issues though that i had to sort out), and the jtd 3 years ago for £2700, both are 53 plates dynamics and in reasonable nick when cleaned up.

Interesting... are there any links to accurate price guides anywhere... would also be interesting to see if there are any lists or charts of price history, but that's probably too much to hope for...

Not sure if i can say the 3dr JTD values are going up, but they're definately not the depreciation disaster many places would have you believe.

I bought my JTD Dynamic 3dr (54 plate) in September 2008 for £3950, which was a bargain i thought. With leather, 17" alloys & MP3 stereo options, it must've lost about £10,000 in the first 4 years/50,000 miles, but another 4 years/30,000 miles down the line, equivilent Stilo's still seem to be going for around £2000, which i reckon is excellent.

The used market does seem to have risen in the last few years so that will no doubt have played a part, but i do think the Stilo has a better reputation as a used buy than it did when new, and Fiat's reputation moving in the right direction with well-respected, low depreciating products like the 500 and Panda will have no doubt helped. Only trouble is it's virtually impossible trying to get a similar bargain i got on the Stilo, on a 4 year old Bravo :( :p

quite bad compared to things like ford fiestas and the like which go for more...

that said, i think you would easily sell the 1.2 for more than 700

£730 a year certainly ain't bad, though i echo what others have said about what a 1.2 3dr would go for now - considering some people are asking well over £2000 for a 1.6 3dr, i reckon you'd easily clear £1000 for the 1.2 if you sold privately, unless it's gone round the clock or is about to die.

I'm on track for £500 a year depreciation unless the values slump spectacularly between now & the end of the year :slayer:

Cousin was specific for JTD Multiwagons and that late plate ones are very sought after, mainly from 2005/05 onwards, but clean 2004/04 were also popular.

3dr's normally have better values than the 5dr hatch. But a JTD MW was the only version that had a month on month increase.

I guess the lack of replacement for the Stilo MW other than the larger (and arguably more risky) Croma means the MW remains sought after by existing Fiat owners, including those who've already owned a Stilo or Marea Weekend model & want the newest Fiat estate they can get. Plus some other customers looking for an estate with genuine load carrying ability (the MW doesn't sacrafice on space like many newer rivals).

Given that in relative terms the number of JTD Stilo's available are small, it doesn't take a massive amount of demand to allow prices to rise.

The JTD hatches values still seem strong, but i suppose that because the Fiat Group have offered replacements for customers of these who wish to stay within the Group by offering the Bravo, Giulietta (5dr customers) and MiTo and Grande Punto (3dr) means the Stilo hatches aren't the sole choice like the Multiwagons are, which prevents the values being quite so strong, especially in terms of the 5dr Stilo as it's replacement is viewed to be better looking whereas the 3dr still seems to get praise regarding its styling.

Update :

Till mid July, from mid May, MW JTD values increased 4.5%.

Surely used value will level out soon.....

My daughter used compare the market dot com for a quote on our Multiwagon yesterday, it uses an industry standard valuation service to give you a rough value for your car.

The value had gone up by £80 compared to 2 months ago so they're deffinately on the up .. :D
