I never really introduced myself, or showed you what car i have
But like true newbie, i got lots of questions about stilo ;D

My name is Paulius, and im from Lithuania, i own a fiat stilo 5drs 2002 1.6.
Stilo is my first car, and i want it to be perfect

I just love my car, but be honest sometimes it lacks of power, when i want to pass someone quickly, but other than that, its amazing

So about the purpose of this thread,
I want to make few modifications to my stilo, and i got some questions that bothers me.

Lowering. Bought some new 17" alloy wheels, but it doesnt look right, and i think i need to lower the car. I must say where i live the roads arent so good, so lowering the car 50mm+ isnt an option for me.
Heres how the car looks at the moment.


Im thinking lowering the car 30mm, just to reduce the gaps between wheels and the car.
Can any one post a picture of their stilo, original high and lowered by 30mm or 40mm(max)?? that would be helpful do decide for me.

And guessing if im going to lower the car i need new shocks? Seeing Marshall147's thread, i think i could buy shocks right now, but i got some questions with that too

Im a bit confused, do they sell shocks seperetly meaning, buying them i would get only etc. 1 rear shock? or a set, etc 2x rear shocks? And most important, will they be perfect for for me? and for 30mm/40mm springs?

Also was thinking about a new pair of side mirrors. M3 look. if i choose to get a new pair of mirrors do they capable to do the same as original ones? etc: electrical adjustment, and do they have weather temperature sensor?


Ill add one more picture, just to show what im thinking to do, this summer or next summer. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
