Spent most of the afternoon disconnecting and cleaning every plug I could find in order to sort my airbag light out - of course, with absolutely no success. I swear I'll be grey by the end of the week at this rate.

Anyhoo. Noticed this little thingamabob up near the firewall on the driver's side - looks a bit knackered on close inspection, but anyone know what it actually does?



On a side note, also noticed today that my horn and alarm siren don't work. Not even a relay click for the horn. I know I wanted a project, but this thing is an absolute electrical disaster area - where do I sign up for the funny farm?

Although I was kind of hoping for 'super special secret airbag connector which if repaired will make that damned light go away'

If you read the AirBag fault codes you'll have a much better idea of which connector to clean ..

Fault codes read, a laptop with a full copy of FiatECUscan rides with me permanently in the car at the moment! I figure that if I clean everything, that at least eliminates connectors from the big list of fault codes. :yuck:

Front crash sensor is the only one which seems to be present rather than intermittent, but I'd rather clean and wiggle everything before spending out on a new one.
