I have got a kkl cable and i have downloaded fiatecuscan software.
CAn anyone tell me how i set it up so i can plug in and read the fault codes etc.

I have looked on the forum but it just confuses me:bang::bang::bang:

Its worth reading the lengthy guide on the FiatECUScan site.

I don't have a KKL cable, but I do have a Vag-com and an ELM327 USB cable, some of the options in FES require one of the 3 coloured cables to access functions/

Oh also the free download doesn't let you do helish much, but that's kinda the point. You can perform the service reset but that's about it. You need the full version to do a lot of the stuff, its about £42 at current exchange rate.

Well worth a purchase.

Yep, the VAGCOM/KKL is the one I got. Plug is straight into the connector above the fuse panel by the ignition. You will be able to connect to the engine ecu and read/reset fault codes.
If you want to connect to the ABS/Airbags/CANbus, you need some coloured adaptors too (I bought some a couple of weeks ago but don;'t need them as the fault cleared itself!)
