as title. any ideas what would cause this?

answers for cold and hot engine please... im suspecting crank sensor

apparently the car is in limp mode - did you read the stored fault codes?

i didnt think the 1.6 had a limp mode.

Its had history of P1300, U1600, P0460. I havent read the codes since it started having this issue.

i do know its had a Crank Sensor and virgin ECU.

im guessin it needs a phonic wheel learn reset (even with the new ECU) but wanted to get a bit of info on what else could cause it if at all possible

what is "virgin ecu" ?

the ECUs are built to each car a 'virgin ECU' as i understand it is a 'base ECU' with some data deleted from the EEPROM. yellowstilo offers this service on the forum.
