Hi all,

I got a few stilo parts for sale so if anyone is interested, let me know and I will bring them with me to brooklands.

- Connect Nav+ no security code, working all good
- CN+ antennae aerial (just the top part) has gsm, gps and radio
- spring clock for steering wheels without buttons
- Radio/cassette player, radio part not working (suspect RF fault on the pcb)
- Blaupunkt IDC A09 CD Changer with code, including upper glovebox trim - best offer
- 4 x 15" Steel Wheels with 2 tyres in good condition (2-3000 miles done) and 2 tyres legal but could do with a change ( they are still on the car but I am picking up new alloys on Friday).

All prices are best offers, I want to clear my house as I will be moving soon.

As far as I'm aware mate, you need to fit a mic and change the ariel (if you intend to use the phone/satnav elements) and then just get a proxy alignment once it's fitted. The only trouble is getting the radio code. Andy doesn't have the VIN number of the car it originally came from, so I'm not sure it can be done.

I only want the unit for spares. Seems a shame if someone else can make it work and give it a good home :)

Owen.

quite involved then? lol

Haha, Owen knows his stuff. Gadge I've meant to write a guide on how to properly retrofit the cn+ (as I've done it myself, and you can see it at brooklands), but completely forgot, I will do it one of these days. As Owen said, you need a mic (you can get one from halfords easily), aerial (i got that but just the top bit or you can get one from china which sits on the dashboard, that's what I have at the moment on my stilo), and the cage (it's different sadly from the Visteon CD/Tape player).

Basically the cage is the reason I got the second CN+, it came with it.

As for the code, you can either use the fw 9.8 to override the code (but every time the battery has been out longer than 1h or so, it will ask for the code again), or as I told to Owen, you need a hi-res photo of the barcodes from the CN+, and ask a fiat dealer to send them to Marelli in Italy. Not many dealers know that they can do that, but it's worth a shot. They usually charge for that (basterds, they squeeze money out of us for anything, no offence to anyone working in a fiat dealer).

Seems quite a lot to consider?? I've started looking though the guides section on how to install one and it seem and although it can be done, it doesn't seem economical. For the price of the unit, the mics and aerial all the gizmos to bypass the canbus plus I want to run my iPod off it to your looking at a big bill??

I only thought about it because the CN+ looked a better looking head unit than the standard one I have and just wonderd how easy it was to swap..... Never mind got my eye on a JVC one :)

Things have changed since the guide was written. It's no longer as complicated or expensive to retro fit a CN+ as Rich's guide suggests.
