i have an 04 1.4 fiat stilo 5 door, the remote central locking stopped yesterday, will lock ok from the key but nothing when pushing lock or unlock button.
the car has not had any work done or any need for battery to be disconnected
bought new battery for key today and still nothing. any ideas guys?

Mine is sometimes sticky... occasionally all the doors except the drivers will unlock. Then sometimes it unlocks after two or three presses of the unlock butotn, sometimes I need to lock then unlock, sometimes it gives up and I use the key, but next time it's fine. I think it happens in cold/damp weather.
Try pressing lock on your key half a dozen times...

have tried that, tried locking car with key, holding down the lock button for 15 secs then pressing unlock, last thing i could try is disconnect then reconnect car battery?
