Need some advice on whether to only replace my pads or also the discs.

My Stilo has done 65k on the original set of pads and discs, mainly motorway driving, and I was advised by Fiat dealer after the last MOT that the discs and pads on front and rear would need replacing soon.

Now I understand garages always keen to also replace the discs, and from a quick look there seems to be about 1 mm lip only on the discs, and surface looks smooth. I havent had the wheels off yet to have a proper look.

I had always understood pads should be replaced a couple of times before the disc needed to be replaced, so hence my question, as the pads are still original.

I believe the minimum thickness for the rear discs is 9.2 mm. So use a mircrometer to measure the tickness of your discs, then you'll know whether or not you need new ones.
