Yeap I got the fusebox soaked.
When I now turn the ignition on the its blowing the fuse for primary ignition, unless I take out T9 relay, then it holds
Put new relay in T9 and it blows again.
I had fuse box in airing cupboard for 2 days and still happening

WHAT do I do next??? Will a new fuse box solve it
My wifes from Aberdeen  and shes on the war path

mine got wet the other day (car is missing wheel arch liners) left it running with key out (dried itself out due to heat from engine) and I've not had a problem since, ordered new liners too

Put new fusebox in,turned the ignition on BANG F17 blown again
WTF do I do next
I have the airbag wires cut under seat and in wheel arch, apart from that nothings changed

According to the wiring diagram, fuse F17 in the engine compartment fuse box is the 12v +ve power supply to the injectors.

You must have a short between the fuse and the common connection for all 4 injectors. The wiring diagram shows it as a Brown/white wire but wiring diagram colour codes are often wrong.

If I take out relay T9 the fuse will hold
Put another T9 relay back in and the fuse blows

Relay T9 is before the fuse so taking out the relay will prevent the fuse from blowing. The injectors will still have no power though.

So as Only F17 BLOWING
Does that mean E5030 or 5050 are at fault

And why F11 and F22 (f22 JTD and mines 1.6) still holding
BTW what are they ????????

No... E5030 and E5050 are just a block representation of the injectors for all the different engine versions. As I posted previously "You must have a short between the fuse and the common connection for all 4 injectors" (Could also be a short circuit in one of the injectors, but unlikely)

The diagrams I posted in post #19 show the full circuit for your 1.6 engine.

Power is supplied from relay T9 to the 3 fuses F11, F17 and F22. Only the wire from your F17 has the short, so there's no reason for the other 2 fuses to blow.

Fuse F11 supplies power to L10 (Fuel Vapour Recovery Solenoid), K15 (Pre Cat Lambda Sensor) and K17 (Post Cat Lambda Sensor).

Fuse F22 supplies power to A30 (The 4 Ignition Coils)
