Afternoon everyone,

Got an issue with the car, again! Had my back brakes done 2 weeks ago, when we tried getting the driver side rear caliper off, it was entirely seized and was leaking brake fluid, in the end because it was so screwed we had to replace the caliper which was fun for my wallet!

Now, on the way to work this morning, I was going about 20mph around a corner with the brake on, and it was braking as normal, then all of a sudden I couldn't push the brake down any further, it was like locked in position. If I then release the brake and press it again it will let me push it to the floor. It was almost like the ABS was kicking in at the wrong point, and it was tricking the brakes into thinking I was braking fully when in reality I was just tickling the pedal.

This happened for about 10-15 minutes, until my ABS light and ASR light came on, then the car has been braking normally!

The mechanic I used said that because the pad had been grinding the disk on the old brakes; some iron filings where all over the ABS ring, but he said it would throw a fault but not affect the braking; and it should go over time.

Any ideas how to sort this issue out?

Thanks guys. :bang:
