is there any body who can help. we went to change my cam belt today on my 1.6 stilo. but we could not lock the bottom pully to get it off. it has just a bolt in the middle holding it onif any body knows would be very gratefull
A tool for that shouldn't be dificult to make, or a second person could probably lock it with a screwdriver while you're undoing the crankshaft pulley nut.
got one late this afternoon he was on is own so know body could hold it with a screw driver is acam kit for a bravo 1.6 the saam as a stilo i can get one of them at a good price
i have just sent for a universalcam locking kit they say it will fit a stilo and do the job i have told them if it does not they will have it back so i will post it up if it does or not but its a lot cheeper than there locking kit
I've been having a lot of problems sourcing a cam locking kit in the past without paying £120 for the kit!! I don't know any universal kits that work for the 1.6 either.
This website has a Stilo 1.6 locking tool that they hire out for around £35 per week, might be a better option for you
the kits dont generally have the lock included, you have to purchase this seperatly. http://www.jhmbuttco.com/acatalog/info_AST3398FIAT.html
you want something like that, my one was purchased from sealey and it didnt fit, i had to take an angle grinder to it before it would fit..
