Hi Can anyone help with the dash board controls going awall all the lights are showing all the dials are down no other electrical faults just the dash board itself can anyone point me in the right direction could it be the srs control module or some thing like this where do I find one or where is it on the Ecu unit? Help cause I took it to Fiat main dealer and they could not diagnose the fault silly people

please explain better what are the fault symptoms - if the fault is in your cluster itself i can repair it , just did one for another forum member.
You will have to send it to the Netherlands though.
Just send me a PM if you are interested.....

Hi yes it's all the warning lights under the sun intermittantly on and off in no particlualr order all the dials ie petrol gauge speedometre those are not working no mileage or computer itself not working what shall I do apaRT FORM THROW THE VEHICLE AWAY

The pinnacle as failed either get it repaired or replaced (not cheap)

Is it possible for somebody to explain what the repair to the dash involves ? Thanks

Is it not a common fault? Seems all stilo's suffer the same.

hi there, Mine does this now and again, particularly when the car hjas condensation on the inside (may be damp related)
Just been quoted £700 + VAT from fiat for a new instrument cluster without fitting so not going anywhere near that.

I'm getting one from ebay for a tenth of that but first i need to get the serial number off the back of the current faulty one

sounds like its a long troublesome job whichever option i take.

and, yes, it does seem to be a common fault

But then, thats Italian electrics for you !

Simple to change actually. :) You don't need a serial number. There is only one thing important, and that is diesel/petrol version (if you don't want to change the dials).

Cheers guys. I've removed the cluster, easy job. Before I send it off or replace the cluster I want to check feed and earth.
Only one connector at the rear can anyone advise which pin is +&- thanks

So so confused. Removed clocks and check what I can, all looks ok. Rebuilt.
Can't get my head around so many faults.
No dash, lock car from drivers door and windows go down, mainly n/s
Then, again car stalled whilst driving, sometimes re starts sometimes doesn't. Already replace tdc sensor.
Help lol

Ignition switched +ve power supply is to pin 1 of connector A on the cluster.

Permanent +ve power supply is to pin 2 of connector A.

Earth is to pin 7 of connector A.

The pins are very small and close together, be very careful not to short any together. As I recall from the last time I dismantled a cluster, the internal power supply voltages are regulated down to 5 volts. Shorting a 12v and 5v line would probably not be good news.

Not all engine versions have all 3 connectors (A,B,C) shown in the wiring diagram.

Thank you I'll double check it, I'm using fluke metre for checking volts so should be fine. Still wondering whether something else is the cause of it all but, what?
