I have a 1.9 stilo multijet. What are the correct
tyre pressures. Tried local fiat dealer and they
didn't know. But on the Kwik fit website says
33psi which sounds a bit too much

use this to convert bar to psi http://www.centauro-owners.com/articles/psibar.html

I take it you don't have an owners manual to check. My next port of call for the novice would be the net. Actually 33psi seems a bit low for a diesel lump at the front anyway.

I think the type of tyre, type of car, driving style and road conditions govern what your tyre pressure should be. A local tyre place will recommend what they think is right but a little "suck it and see" by yourself will probably be the best option. Try a few psi above or below what they recommend and see how your car feels.

I've got a full set of Goodyear F1 Eagle(GSD3) on our Multiwagon.

Car nearly always has a load of some sort in or on it so I run the tyre pressures a little higher than recommended, checked weekly. Through the winter I had 34psi in the front and 32psi in the rear, during the summer I have 36psi in the front and 34psi in the rear.

I always have all 4 wheels balanced even though they say only the front need doing and I have the tracking checked regularly, 3 or 4 times a year.

Thanks for all your help. Think will check them
out and see which is best

I thought the general rule of thumb for general pressure for all tyres front and back is :

17" Wheel : 36psi
16" Wheel : 34psi
15" Wheel : 32psi
14" Wheel : 30psi

Or am I wrong...?

I don't know, I have 17" and tyre places always put them at 34psi.

The figures shown in many tables are `cold’ values & can lead to under-inflation – check-out Tech Specs section of OH. Some folks like to work back from the max pressure (see tyre wall) … (say) max. 50psi minus 20% Where would that put yours?

How do the cold values lead to under inflation
