Howdy everyone. On my drive to work this morning the passenger side wiper stopped working. The drivers one still works so im guessing its the linkage.
It happened to our vectra c and the quick fix was to cable tie the linkage and its worked for years. Lol. has anyone else had the same prob. Is the fix jst as quick.

Yes, this has been caused by one of the linkages coming adrift. It's a common problem on FIATs and there is an excellent solution. See here:

Cheerz guys. Glad its a quick fix.

Trickiest part is getting the plastic scuttle off for the first time. But it is a straight forward job. Remove wiper arms, open bonnet, remove plastic plugs and scuttle and you are at the wiper motor mechanism. Plug and play from there.

Well had a look on Friday afterwork and it was clear that cableties were never going to repair the linkage. Ordered the wipex kit on sat so il jst need to wait till it's here.
Scuttle pannel came off quite easy. Hardest thing was getting the bloody wiper arms off. U realy need to encourage them. Lol.

MY scuttle is a bit warped - id doesn't lie flush against the bottom of the winscreen and is stightly proud at the right end. Any suggestions of ways to straighten/flatten it?

Well fitted the kit this morning. Peace of cake. 27 quid and only took a couple of mins to swap the arms over. Id recomed this kit to everyone.
