I think I might win a prize for weirdness with this one.

1.6 16v petrol dynamic.

over the past few days when I push the brake pedal it tells me that the drivers side indicator has gone off.

there is more, but on this point, I would normally suspect a wrong bulb having been fitted but nothing has been changed recently at all.

But I now also have the airbag warning and the orange 'seat' warning light as well - these are only intermittent and seem to ping off and on as they choose.

I suspect a fuse or a relay but am technologically incompetent and don't know where to look

i would check the battery or battery terminals, remove the battery connection for 30 mins (clear ecu) and clean up the terminals and apply light grease to the terminals.
bread and butter stuff that costs nothing and worth the little effort to try. even a clear of the ecu can sort these little gremlins out on the stilo.

Check and clean the cable connectors under the fuse
box. Check and clean the negative lead that runs under
the fuse box check all leads are fastened tight.
I removed all these at the weekend to get at the nearside
headlight bulb. Forgot to tighten that lead and ended up
the car not starting 30 odd fault codes - tightened up
the lead I'd forgot too and everything cleared and the car
ran ok. Just goes to show how important a good battery
is and clean leads on the stilo.

thanks lads, I'll try the leads problem and if that doesn't fix it then it's off to the auto electricians to look at the earthing.

really appreciate the time you've taken to share advice.
