Re: Remap/Chip for Stilo 1.6 16V

If the alfa uses the same ECU as the stilo 1.6 that will be why it costs so much for so little. Lots of threads on here about remapping (and lack of) the 1.6.

Re: Remap/Chip for Stilo 1.6 16V

its true, alfa already gets most out of its engines, perhaps with 2.4 from fiat which does not really produce a whole lot of bhp considering the high volume, you could get some more but you will still get a small amout of bhp. And itll cost you to have it done properly. With a turbo its much easier, though you need to be more careful with warming up the engine, pehaps getting a turbo timer etc.. the point i was trying to make is that with a turbo you get the extra pressurized air to balance the fuel but with NA you very quickly reach the limit... you cant just reprogramme it and voila.

What flat spots? I'm tempted but will probably just bank the money and wait until the new Stilo comes out next year. Having seen the pictures I'd be well tempted. Hopefully Fiat will knock out a JTD Abarth model like the Punto JTD HGT.
