mice infestation

Enjoying the honeymoon period with my new stilo and in all honesty , im v impressed. However, it would appear that the seats are'nt built to the highest standards. Only 658 miles driven and my drivers seat squeaks like hell constantly (would appear to come from base of seat) also the material is starting to appear wrinkley, ie it no longer stretches tight over the seat base, looks like an old settee cushion. Is this normal, Am i being to fussy? anyone else got this?

Re: mice infestation

I've seen a number of posts on this subject, and I noticed that mine was looking a bit saggy the other day.

After investigating, I found the fit between the base and back is quite tight, and when you tilt the seat back forward it pulls the fabric in the base with it (3 door seats). I found that by tilting the seat forward, then manipulate fabric between base and back, I could when I tilted the seat back make the fabric all go tight again.

Re: mice infestation

An old problem - don't think it is affected if you are a 5-door owner, and/or have leather.

Plenty of posts, try doing a search

Re: mice infestation

8k on clock & my seat hasn't gone saggy but the material is not tight over the seat anymore. Reading post on here not worth getting replaced I presume!

Re: mice infestation

You've all missed the most obvious cause of the Mice problem.

If you look under the car you'll find your CAT has gone and let the mice in

(OK I know bad joke!!)

Re: mice infestation

My drivers seat is a little baggy on the bottom also and I have leather. I've done just over 2000 miles now and i thought this was something that just happens anyway, but thinking back It never happened on my focus even after nearly 3 years.
What Should we expect from fiat on this if we ask them to fix it ?

I'm sort of not too bothered about it because i'm thinking of getting a custom leather/suede interior done next year, but theres a principal involved here.
