Right, the latest version of EPER states different part numbers for all the JTD engines.

Nevertheless, if you are looking for the 150 Multijet 16V (M92) engine mount, part number is 51775241. It costs 131,87 EUR + VAT in Romania.

If you still want to take a look at the latest engine mount for the 115 JTD 8V (M50) engine mount, part number is 51776846, substituted on February 2006 and going at a price of 126,84 EUR + VAT.

No, I didn't get the prices wrong, AUTOITALIA just has a 25% markup over the EPER prices.

I still suggest going for the latest revised edition specifically designed for your type of engine.

vladof thanks for your quick reply.

so, i will try first with the M50 engine mount- the one for my engine.
the idea is that Autoitalia is an expensive dealer. i found the same engine mount 51776846 for about 60-65 EUR VAT included (OEM piece, 8 days order - hope not China made :) on our aftermarket stores

Good luck and thanks a lot !

I am sure the M50 mount would cure all the problems, provided it is not a cheap aftermarket.

If the local deal can bring the OEM part, then this is excellent news! :)

Let us know how it works out.

As i saw in Eper, there are in total 4 mounts?
- 1 x mount , under the battery (the one we talk about in the previous posts)
- 2 x gearbox mount
- 1 x mount on the distribution part?

Am i right?
Because in Eper i saw many mounts/pads, and the dealer gave me an offer for 4 mounts(including the one under battery) .

The mounting under the battery and the one next to the timing belt cover are engine/gearbox mountings that support the weight of the engine/gearbox.

The two at the bottom are torque reaction tie bars just to stop the engine/gearbox rocking.

So no.2 in Eper is torque reaction tie bar and must be ordered x 2 pieces. Are they identically? Or every tie bar is different?

The two tie bars are the same on the JTD 115bhp (M50) engine. Part number 46781893. They are sold seperately, you don't have to order two if you don't need two.

They will be different for other Stilo engines and some engines only have one.

Thats how mine is, rattles when cold but in warmer weather its not there. Does yours fade when you've driven round for a bit?

Phil

Mine was doing this too, sounded like a jingley rattle, thought it was pinking or knocking.

It was actually the bracket that holds the exhaust to a stub on the bottom of the gearbox, see this image ive uploaded, it might be upside down but you will see the bodged bolt - the hole it goes into is aluminium and becomes threaded, when warm it tightens up and stops the exhaust bracket from rattling but when cold is a pain in the backside and rattles, mine is a petrol, unsure if the diesel has this bracket.

ive just changed the gearbox mount (under the battery) on my 1.9 JTD. its not fully sorted the vibration but the car is now significantly quieter and a sticky clutch issue i had before is no longer an issue (dont know if that is anything to do with this change but it seams to have stopped when i changed that).
what am i looking for to change this 'other mount' ? where is it/how do i find out which type it is?
cheers, josh
