hi there newbie
my fiat stilo 1.6 when first started it starts to make a whining sound then goes away after a minute or so .This is what i have checked
first took off the alternator/water pump belt still has the whining sound then aircon belt but still the same ,then the cambelt checked the pulleys and tensioner etc to find the oil pump pulley had a bit of play side to side and up and down .i think this is the problem causing the noise can anybody help me by telling what is involved in stripping the pully or oil pump any diagrams etc would really help me regards ronnie::bang:
