Re: 35mm drop

Hi everyone just a message to anyone thinking of lowering their car. I went down to pay for my Supersprint exhaust & CDA today & asked about the Bilstein kit & the guy said that the lowering springs which come with the kit are made by Eibach which is good news for people who haven't lowered their car yet but bad news for us that have as I've been informed that the shocks on their own are £547 yet the complete kit is only £580 with the springs. ( I wish I'd found out sooner)

Re: 35mm drop

I use to have a lowered saxo vtr and I used to be able to drive fast in that so easily knowing exactly were the car is on the road and where it was going. But my stilo feels like a 4x4 compared to it and when I'm going fast round an island it feels like im always about to loose control and haven't got a clue what the cars doing.

Would 30mm be enough to improve the handling like my vtr or would I need to lower it more?

Re: 35mm drop

30/35mm [who knows] deffo firms up the handling - I would imagine if I drove a normal Stilo now, I would be screaming at it.

I know I've said this before but if you fit a strut brace as well that will do alot more than just lowering it as it almost eradicates understeer through doing away with most of the chassis flex. Fit one of these & you'll find you'll have loads more feel & feedback through the steering making the car predictable & safe in the twisties.
