I would actually buy one if it said "drive a french car" as i have a ford.... and likely going to replace my 1.6 wagon with a smax

yeah i know but i need something bigger now and the s-max ticks all the boxes.
the mw is a fantastic car thus were keeping the jtd, but the kids are getting bigger and we need more room with our bi weekly excursions to themeparks all over the country.
I was also looking at the 5008 but 25k for something that will lose probo 50% of its resale value as soon as i pull of the forecourt and is also french will hurt to much....
Another thing is im too busy now days to keep up with the demands that fiat cars (well the stilo) impose on the owners, i dont think ive gone more than 5 weeks without something having to be checked and rectified on any of my stilos. granted the jtd has been the best but still not flawless.
I have a couple of friends that have s-max and c-max - they swear by them, infact one of them does around 40kmiles per year and never has opened the bonnet except to top up washer fluid (thats what he says anyways). Thats the sort of car i want / need now.

i know u dont want french but if u have to leave us lot then dare i say it the 406 HDI is reportedly a bloody good motor... infact anything that would fall into the catagory of 'taxi fodder' would be a pretty safe bet.

If your into MPV's Seat's Altea XL would probably be a reliable ol' dog as its mostly, if not all, VW. (and you know VWs are Taxi fodder until the cows come home.) if you want sommin a little more luxurious for you and the mrs then the 3/5/730d tourers are always an option
