warning lights on, loose wire connection after stereo fitted

Help!!! Recently I went to start my fiat stilo 04 plate and the radio was dead, i had it replaced with a 2009 fiat radio,now my engine management,abs,handbrake and yellow tiangle light is on and my speedometer does not work. I tried all the reset procedures but they dont work, it looks like the two cambus wires were moved to different places to fit the stereo, i am getting the following codes:1-c1003(vehicle speed from can)2-p0500(vehicle speed sensor vss)3-u1706(can network(ncm-nfr)4-c1121(valve relay)5-u1601(can bus) thanks

Hi, i have an 04 plate stilo wich recently had a 09 radio put in, the computer does not recognise the radio, i also have the engine management light,abs,handbrake and yellow triangle light on and loose connection warning and speedometer does not work.i have the following error codes c1121-valve relay, u1601-can bus,p0500-vehicle speed sensor(vss),u1706-can network(ncm-nfr),c1003-vehicle speed(from can) please help as auto electrician said it will cost £700 for him to find the problem as he does not have the scematics, thanks

You mean all those errors are caused just by fitting the radio ?

hi, yes, i think when the old radio went it corrupted the canbus somewhere, maybe 1 of the ecu's, car drives perfect

Is the radio working at all ?
I did proxy al. w/o radio and a few months later after installing it, the mileage started to flash, did proxy al. again and it stopped.

That was the only problem I've found.

the radio is working perfect, it looks as though they moved the two can wires to fit the 09 radio, if i take the radio out the engine management lights goes away

Well, the only thing that comes in my mind is to remove every wire from the white ISO connector except red and black ones, until someone figures out what are the differences of 04 and 09 radios

Should be wiring diagrams on the top of both HUs, so compare them and modify the wiring if need be

thanks,auto electrian said one of the control modules are damaged but does not want to do it as he does not have the wiring scematics and does not want to buy them for 200,any ideas wich module would cause these fault codes?thanks

If the electrician diagnosed a faulty module, he must know which one he diagnosed as faulty.

i have the same problem however i dont know how my warning lights came on they just appeared and havent gone since also my speedo isnt working but rev counter fuel gauge and temp gauge all work along with the clock and trip computer i havent yet taken it to a garage but i have spoken to a mechanic who told me to get it hooked up to diagnostics machine and get the faults wiped as it tells me things like parking sensor falure when i havent even got parking sensors :s i know the clocks have been replaced by clocks from a 1.6 would this be the problem ? thanks ryan
