How can i remove that "nipple" from the mirror, in the easiest way?

Searched about the answer, but nothing about how to remove it, only technical things.

You can't remove it. I've tried it already, the only thing you can disassemble on that mirror is the plastic shell on the front and there is no access beneath it. A possible approach would be to somehow take the actual mirror out.. but there is a pretty good chance you might end up braking it. I once wanted to remove it too because there was no outside temp reading on the dash and it turned out that someone has disconnected the connector leading from the mirror to the door cable harness - plugged it in and voila :)

only good nipples, because : "good girls gone bad" :))

now on topic: i asked that on forum, because i saw those pictures somewhere-attached-(but no text about the way of removing it)

Never tried that. It looks like a single piece...

I just checked, this

Is not the temperature sensor on my 2005 Stilo or my old 2002 Stilo or my daughters 2004 Stilo.

My sensor is in the actual shroud behind the mirror.

Edit.

This is the left hand mirror(drivers side, you can see the wheel through the window) of a Punto not a Stilo.

well, i haven't noticed that is punto (i found pictures in a Stilo forum, and saved them immediately), and my driver side is on the left.

i have that nipple, and the quesion now is: that nipple is the temperature sensor or not?

my ride a 2003 Stilo 3doors 115jtd, stock

Now at Gaydon and looked at a MW win Climate and that's two temp sensors, one on each door mirror, my Stilo with manual AC though only has one on the OS door mirror.
mine only on the driver side ( left is my driver side), A/C only.

So, that nipple is the temperature sensor or not?

Yes... it is the outside air temperature sensor.

It's only fitted on the driver's side, so a LHD car (Left Hand Drive) has it on the left mirror. A RHD car has it on the right mirror.

They're differed sensor designs. Does the Climate on the Stilo display the outside temp aswell as the dash?

If so I'd unplug NS (RHD) front door plug on the wiring loom and see if the screen for the temp on the Climate goes blank.

I can't see a reason why they'd decide to change side of the sensor for different country's as it's resulting in a higher production cost having to design two different sensors for no real reason.

well, mine shows with almost 40 degrees more than it should.
So if outside temp is about 30degrees, in the dashboard appears almost 68-69.

I think that the sensor is not dead, because it works (wrong but it works, no -- ).
i have AC only, no Climate
