I don't have any for sale but I've been asked to supply a Stilo rear axle(used) with brand new bushes already fitted to a friend of a friend.

So all he has to do is bolt it on and his rear bush problem is solved.

Would anyone else be interested in this as I'm in a position to supply a few of these and sell them via the forum classifieds.

Edit.
I can also arrange for the axle to have new wheel bearings fitted as well as bushes.

just a quick comment

I did mine yesturday. it took me and my dad most of the day. Not the easiest job in the world, thats for sure.

what your doing is a good idea!

id advice anyone to buy the bushes already in the axle! save the pain and work of fitting them!

I may be insterested in this, my problem is that I'm in Northern Ireland and I'm not sure the postman would be too amused

Would you be able to supply a set of your slightly machined bushes and at what cost?

What is the official required labour time for fiat to fit new bushes to the axel?

Delivery/collection would be provided by a local courier(a friend). Northern Ireland would be a place he/we could deliver to but to cut costs and help us both we could meet up?

Machined bushes is something I could provide.

Dont spose you wanna do the same with front wishbone and polyurethene bushes? i have a pair of wishbones with old bushes in to try it.

If you provide me with the wishbones I'll certainly look into it for you. If I'm successful the first set are yours free.

I know of 2 people that have had their bushes replaced by fiat. Both lost their cars for 2 days.

I'm picking up the axle this evening and I've just ordered brand new bushes from Fiat. I'll get the axle cleaned up and painted some time this week. I'll fit the new bushes the weekend.

If anyones interested check out my advert in the forum classifieds.

Edit.
I plan to paint the axle black but if anyone was interested and required a different colour, red perhaps, I could arrange that too.

I'll keep this in mind (y) My car is touching on 60k at the minute and everything else is breaking so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the bushes go .

With any luck I'm going to be in UK mainland towards the end of the summer so even if they haven't went by then I'll probably give you a shout :D.

Cheers for now!
Johnny

Sorry to bring this up, is this something you can still do Shadeyman??

I've done 3 axle swop's, can't believe a more professional person(garage owner) doesn't do this I've had loads of people ask me about it.

There are only 2 types of rear axle, with a bracket for headlight self leveling and without.

Hi shadeyman,

Might very well be in the market for a rear axle with new bushes and wheel bearings.
Have sent you a pm for price.

Cheers mate

This is something I would be interested in also, might order a pair of new front wishbones next month shadey, if I make the delivery address your place or whatever then could you get a set of poly bushes made?

Maybe a few months down the line I'll see about a rear axle as mines rusted to f*ck, bushes are fine, just to keep up appearances ;)
