Stumbled into here when surfing for recall notices (?) and its so great to know I'm not alone with my Stilo experience. I love the car despite the hard times (lumpy running-eventually cured, rapid inner tyre wear, creaky suspension, service interval not reset etc. etc.).

I moved to a Stilo from a VW Golf and its miles better. A lot of people seem unhappy with a lot of things about the Stilo but my experience to date is no worse than with VW (except perhaps the dealers). At the end of the day, Stilo owners have a strong, stylish car (3-doorers anyway) which still gets admiring glances. This is more can be said for Focus owners (The Focus is, if the UK motoring press is to be believed, the worlds best ever car after all!)

The Stilo is a well kept secret (I told Which magazine this - see February 2003 p40 - in a 2 hour interview but they only quoted one of my naffer comments).

I've got used to the good life and have even accidentally done that thing in the advert where the guy stands and waits for the door to open.

Happy to be part of the family

2002 Stilo 80 Active, no alloys, no power tuning, tinted windows, love the sky window though!

The lumpy running was sorted by a software update (can't remember the reference) but it since I have a "coal burner" under the bonnet I don't think this'll help your Abarth.

Hey
your not the only one to stumble across this site, I came to it looking for help on an old punto but then decided to buy a Stilo instead, which was collected yesterday [8D]

Got a 5 Door Dynamic 1.6 and im damn impressed by its features, has more toys then I can shake a stick at, seems the adverts true :)

Regards
Andrew

I have only had my Abarth for two weeks and I am so far well happy with it. Not had so many people look at my car since I had an old Jag. Parked at the front of the pub during the recent hot spell really got people looking. It's nice to have a stylish quick car that doesn't cost a fortune to run and that you don't see every ten seconds on the road.

Had a couple of small issues (see technical section) after I bought it privately but I booked it in for a 12K service and everything else was sorted at the same time under warranty by the dealer.

Cracking car
