(G) Air Con

I have a 1 year old 1.6 dynamic and have had few problems so far apart from poor build quality. My air con has this week stopped working and the dealer has told me that if its not a part that needs replacing then it will need a recharge of gas at a cost of £65.

After talking to other car owners i have found that non of them have needed new gas even on cars 4 years old. Has anyone else had a similar problem to this and why do i have to pay £65 when there must be a leek as gas should last much longer than 10 months.

Any advice would be helpful

If the gas has leaked out due to a part that can be replaced under warranty then you should be able to get the gas replaced free too. Just make the point that if the part which is guaranteed hadn't failed you wouldn't be needing more gas!
