Styling Leather interior from another car (alfa?) in stilo

Hi all,

Been searching for a leather interior for about a year now, all the ones ive come accross have been severley worn or wayyyyy overpriced....

been doing some digging on the net as you do, and i transpires that an alfa (at least one) shares tha same seat sub frame and connections as the stilo....

ive seen somewhere that the 147 and or 166 seats (at least the front two) are straight swap....

what im looking for is a definitive answer, will any alfa interiors (just seats, obv door cards wont) fit in the stilo front AND back seats?

also alfa seats are plenitfull and relatively cheap!

thanks :)

A friend has fitted 147 GTA seats in his Stilo but dont expect functions to work if they are electric or heated since every function has to be registered in your car's body computer (NBC). However it looks awesome !

is this seats in the back AND the front? if so im going to buy some super sexy red and black alfa seats :D

i dont have elec seats or heated ones....besides i have a trick up my sleeve for connections, i can control electric functions in my car form my built in carPC (or will be able to as soon as my relay board arrives)....

i just need confirmation that the alfa 147 3door seats front and back fit in the stilo 3door.....

i have heard that 147 seats fit but i think that was front only. Alfa GT seats may also fit since they are based on the 147. There is an alfa breaker near leighton buzzard so i may take a trip down there.

147 seats will fit into a bravo...front only....so if you can fit Bravo in a Stilo, you can fit 147.

156 seats are the same but dont have the tilt function so only useful for a 5 door...

did anyone actually get round to doing this yet?? because as stated above, i was also thinking of fitting a new set of seats and to my fustration, stilo leather seats a a little thin on the ground? but there seems to be an abundance of alfa 147 ones?

i've go 2 photos below regarding the fitment of the rear seats, and whether its a straight swap or not. the blue cloth one is the stilo and the black one is the 147. what do you all think? they look pretty close to me? although i think the split folding part seems to be the other way around?

The Alfa's I believe use the same canbus system as the stilo, so airbags etc MAY work
I used to get a few bits from Autolusso, and they may be a good place to start, The Guy I know from the Alfa forum has told me you can put a Q2 lsd in a 16v multijet stilo, because they have!
I'm sure anyone in that area could pop down to look and measure/compare etc.

Oh and I don't need to put one in mine

hi im very interested in this thread as tan leather would look awesome in my red stilo. anyway just sent an email to some 147 owners to see if they could send me some dimensions and pics of attachments on the rear seats see what they come back with fingers crossed

I brought some 147 sport seats lastnight. From looking at the runners it doesn't appear that they are completely the same. As one of the back blots on the seat is at a different angle to the ones in the stilo. The other three just bolt down intothe floor which look the same on both.

My next thought is whether the runners can be swapped from the standard seats to the alfa seats?

If you pull it off would you do a guide as my seats are haggard and I love the alfa ones! Also are you doing fronts only? I might just retrim the rears.

would be gd to know bout the rears as theres a set on ebay im looking at just lot of money to spend if they dont fit. i know some people have done the fronts on here before should be able to swap the runners over i did it before on my m8's punto with subaru sti seats anything can be made to fit (y)

Update.
I swapped the runners on the seats but I realised whilst doing so that the witith of the tracks on the alfa seats are 10mm wider than the stilo's. Therefore clearly not going to fit to the bolt holes in the car. Which has left me very annoyed, left sitting on a lovely afla seat on my garage floor ! ( that should be fitted in my stilo!!)
What I don't understand is how people have fitted these in stilo's before.
