hi, i had an engine faliure light come on yesterday whilst going down the motor way, the eng management light came on then it suddenly went off and hasnt come back on, nothing seems to be wrong with it, anyone have any ideas? also i had a light come on saying EDS faliure, what is that?

check your battery, and D4 connector....sounds phantom to me

its not EDS i meant EBS and then it comes up with ABS FALIURE, could it be a sensor? my battery isnt that great so i will change it.

yes it could, check your brake switch, there is a guide for adjustment...but if you dont knwo the history of the battery, id change it, you can never call a good battery wasted money....

Not heard of EBS before, EBD perhaps?

Whichever it is, all the brake warning messages are often triggered by a slightly flat or dud battery as mz has already suggested.

it could be EBD it comes on and goes off so quickley, the engine management light came on and was flashing up 'engine faliure' again twice on the motorway yesterday, but it goes off straight away and the car runs fine, could that be the battery too? getting a new battery tomorrow, £34.00 inc vat.

hi, my car wouldn't start for a few hours so i jump started it. Now all of the warning lights are constantly on on the dashboard whenever the car is on. Please help . . . .

you either damaged it with the jump (as stilo's dont like being jump started) although i jump started mine many times, and i cant (from an engineerign point of view) see how a jump start would damage a car.

Or your battery is still very low on charge, why did it go flat in the first place?
My advice would be to fully charge the battery, then try again, you'll probably see that after three clear starts with a good battery youll have no warnings/errors.
