Question Protecting AC pipe after lowering

Hi All

Was considering changing my JTD for a Honda Civic or FRV as their diesel's are supposed to be the mutts nuts, BUT having seen the AutoExpress article about the new Stilo I am now reconsidering.

Thing is about the only real gripe I have is with the Stilo handling, at speed on the motorway it can feel like the camber is completely off and I have to ease off the gas. If I am going to keep the car for the next 18months I need to improve the handling. I would lower but have read that this can cause problems with the AirCon pipe esp. going over speed humps (5 within amile of my house). Any ideas those of you who have lowered on how to protect the pipe? Can it be moved? A metal plate fitted to protect? Any ideas greatly appreciated or I may have to visit the honda garage!

Re: Protecting AC pipe after lowering

Maybe your car doesn't need lowering, maybe there's something else wrong with it ; i just came down from Andorra to Barcelona at 170kph (police ain't as strict here in spain... yet) and it seemed fine even following some really nice Mercedes.

Maybe you're tires arn't at the right pressure???? Springs are too soft??? Or god knows what!!?????

Re: Protecting AC pipe after lowering

Have you had the car laser aligned properly?

Mine is lowered 35mm, and have noted no problems with the AC pipe. Maybe it is already bust, hmmm.....
