hi does anyone have a guide on front end removal on a stilo... had a bump into a lorry yesterday as it suddenly stopped whilst going round a roundabout.

need to replace bonnet, o/s wing, headlight, bumper and possibly front panel.. i've sent stilo on fleebay with exact colour code... i've got tools to use as i've change a headlamp on a volvo which required whole bumper off...

cant claim as have TPFT :(

may also consider breaking the jtd

it's not hard just keep undoing bolts, one thing to remember is the radiator and air con rad is supported by the slam panel.

order i think i took mine apart in was-

undertray removal
arch liners out
remove the screws and bolts holding the front bumper on and then that just slides forward

this should give you an idea of what's lurking behind the bumper -

had to take mine apart when i hit a badger. pic shows how i temporarily supported the rads using blocks and wire.

cheers mate.. can i just confirm your pic shown has front panel already removed?. my bonnet is currently stuck as i cant open it.. so may need to use a hammer/ crow bar of some sort to open it. not sure if im allowed to post pics of car on here.. Pls can any mods confirm this?

update so fa.. managed to find a stilo 1.2 with same colour as mine to save on painting costs as in btw jobs at the moment... so far got o/s headlight, bonnet, wing and bumper, front panel, now need n/s headlight.

can anyone confirm if a 1.2 stilo front panel will fit a 1.9 jtd?

Assume you got the correct headlight, wing and bumper for your car?

They're different for 3 and 5 door Stilos, only the bonnet is the same for both.

yes.. parts are off a 5dr 1.2.. just want to know if front panel is standard for all 5dr stilos

front panel is a standard part on stilo's.. radiators may differ upon engine size etc...

well tried to take off bumper today. the torx screws are stuck solid and some rusted, even tried squirting wd40 to loosen them but ended up threading a couple of them so far :( so dont know how to get it off now.. (any advice on this)

ended up taking off my bonnet instead.. will try again tomorrow.. hopefully once bumper is off can remove wing, headlights and front panel..

its quite a tough job.. but i love the challenge

is it better to use a T handle screwdriver or Offset Ratchet and Socket to remove the torx screws? and need to buy one tomorrow are well
