Thumbs down My mate...........................

dropped his car using the Eibach Pro Kit, 50/55mm drop, one word, NIGHTMARE!

His car is now a two seater, can't carry passengers, can't negotiate speed bumps, total crap, don't do it, more hassle than it's worth!

The Eibach pro kit is the 35mm drop in the springs, its the sportline springs that have the larger drop.
But if the car is adjustable then what harm can it do.
I have also heard that the ride quality is far superior when you replace the lot..
I have two choices really, I spend £600 on a set of these coilovers which will fill my rear arches far better, or i spend £1100 on a new set of wheels and tyres which completely wastes the ones i have got and at the same time they wont fill the arches anymore because i will be restricted by the tyre size anyway.
I just can't find a wheel that will suite the car better than the ones i already have.

Re: Eibach Shock kit

Even though they maybe full adjustable, you still need to get the car on the ramps every time you wish to change the hight. Its not a matter of just pressing a button and up or down she goes!! If you want that you are after a full hydrolics (sp) kit!!

Re: Eibach Shock kit

Its really weired this, I was out looking at the car today and when you see it in person it looks so much lower than it does in photos. Maybe i just need to quit takin pictures of it, then i wouldn't see things i don't like.
They said that after a while the car would start to sit lower as my springs compress more, problem is i only have kids in the back. So i need a couple of really fat blokes that i could borrow for a week

Re: Eibach Shock kit

I had an email from a company today about this...here's a copy of the reply.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for your email Mark.

The ride height of your car is governed by the springs fitted so there
is no way you can lower it further with your current springs. Eibach do
offer a 'Sportline' kit with greater lowering than the Pro-kit. However,
for the Stilo this will only increase the lowering of the front to
40-45mm. The rear lowering effect is still 30-35mm.

Sorry we cannot help further on this.

Kind regards,

Julian

So it looks like i will need the coilovers if i am to drop it anymore.

Thanks for all your help on this Stu, I was gonna recomend you for some positive feedback but your already a legend
