My car came with these missing so I just bought some, thing is one went in perfectly and the other one didnt. They are identical and from what I can see they need to be left and right and opposite shapes to one another. Can someone please confirm that before I return them? Thanks.

I only ever bought a right hand one Fi and that popped out cos I didnt stick the blighter in..:bang: wouldnt mind betting they are handed tho..anyone else confirm it..

I believe that they're universal. Atleast they seem to be in my 5-door iirc.

Are yours both 3-door Fee??

Not sure if that'd make a difference?

Thanks guys, yes they are both three doors and the clips slide in perfectly on the right (drivers) side on both cars but if you look at the shape of the clip there is no way its going to fit the left.

Do what i did and remove the parcel shelf and supporting trim.

So everyone can see what you have in the boot? That wouldnt work for me, we often use the little 'ski door' or whatever they call it, to stash valuables in the boot while we are out. Unless of course you have filled it with arena sized speakers????

Thats what blacked out windows are for.

I dont have lots of epicly sized speakers in the boot but i certainly dont need little skallywags seeing what i do have in there.
I would imagine it would end up looking more like this :D

The clips are different for right and left. In Phil's link to ePER above:

http://eper.fiatforum.com/eper/navi?...OD=0&DRW_NUM=5

It shows two part numbers for item 7, i.e.

71719952 DS = Destro, Italian for Right.
71719953 SN = Sinistro, Italian for Left.

My 3dr didn't have any retaining clips either, so I got 2 of these...

...work fine for me and were a 2 second job to fit :)

Yes this is the same seller I got mine from, the mix up was my fault, I assumed they would be the same and just ordered two. I didnt notice that it says 'rh' at the end of the listing. But we have two Stilos anyway so now I just need to order two 'lh' and both cars will be sorted. No issues with the seller at all.

Why pay £4.99 each for them from an eBay seller when Fiat price for them is £1.80?

Fiat have a very strange pricing policy for spare parts, but it's always worth checking them first.

As an example - Years ago, I bought a slave cylinder repair kit from Fiat for my old Croma Turbo for £22. When I dismantled the cylinder to fit it, the bore was scratched so I need a new complete cylinder. That was only £18.

More recently, I needed a headlamp washer pump for the Stilo. I don't remember the price for the pump, but the price for a complete new washer bottle including headlamp washer pump, windscreen washer pump and new tubing was only £3 more.
