I just ordered a VAG KKL USB cable to read my car with the FiatECUscan program.

My qeustion was if it will work. And i heared something about soldering some cables so i can read the ABS, airbag ect. Somebody know how to solder the cable? To witch pin i must connect?

You got any expierence with this? I just checked out a few forums.. I going to connect all the pin with a switch. So i have the full picture... I cant send links yet on this forum cause i found a cool picture the explains everything!

Right now there is a new vag kkl 409usb+fiatecuscan, it is revised from vag kkl 409 usb adding one switch:
Cable adapted to include a 4 way switch to access different ECUs:

Position 1 = Engine ECU (read / clear engine faults)

Position 2 = AirBag ECU (read / clear airbag faults)

Position 3 = ABS ECU (read / clear break faults)

Position 4 = ESP ECU (red / clear stability faults)

I only just got this news from friends in auto car tools....so it is said, autodiagtech, vchecker both have it now...But seems Vchecker company buy the vag kkl+fiatecuscan 2-IN-1 from autodiagtech company

I got myself one of these recently:



Unfortunately I had to re-solder some things to make it work. It now reads everything except for the airbag controller. If anyone needs the details on how to make this work I can post it here.

Evening

when i bought my cables (from Shadeyman) i got a cable with 4 dip switches on (never used it)

am i right in thinking this is to save buying the different colour plugs to connec to ABS etc. Picture attached.
