| | Strange parking sesnsors issue Hi Guys. Bit of background story. Lady went into the back of stilo, damage to back bumper and damage to parking sensors. Just had the car back from the garage, had new bumper, new sensors and new fittings. They thought all my was fine. Now the car is going back in garage tomorrow, because the sensors are not functioning properly, i wondered if you guys might know what the problem so i could inform the garage. When i selected reverse the parking sensors seemed to think that there is something behind the car even though there isnt? drove the car for 20 mins selected reverse again, and they seemed to work fine. Switched the engine off for 20 secs, turned it on again, and then it happened again recognising something even though there was nothing behind the car..... anyideas ![]() ![]() 5dr dynamic

I wasn't even there ![]() Your best course of action is to take it back rather than trying to sort it yourself as intermittent faults are the work of the devil and if you work on it then the persons who reinstalled it may not take responsibility It might be any of the 4 transducers, the control unit, the D89 connector or the wiring in between. So there's a lot of chasing to do and the simple solution is to take it back

I had mine going constantly after collecting heavy accumulations of ice on the rear of the car. Problem disappeared after the ice melted.
