Stilo instrument cluster. Difference between 3 and 5 door?

Hi guys,
trying to track down a second hand unit under my mileage is a nightmare!
I have found a 3 door that meets all the criteria, but I just want to make sure that there is no difference between the two?

I have been told by my friendly local dealer that these part numbers are compatible with my car:

48621561
51746768
51772814

Now he wasnt willing to have a look for the 3 door part numbers as I dont have a chassis number for one to hand, so does anyone have the ability to cross reference and see if the 3 door has the same part numbers.
Or even better someone that has changed a 3 door for a 5 door or visa versa?

Many thanks

Mat

Re: Stilo instrument cluster. Difference between 3 and 5 door?

I had to change mine some time ago since it wasn't working at all. I have a 3 door stilo and my new instrument cluster came off a 5 door stilo and everything is ok (was £40 from a scrappy). I'm fairly sure the milage is stored in the body computer, so unless you change that it doesn't matter what the milage is on the car that the instrument cluster came from. Pretty much plug and play afaik, might need to get the flashing milage solved by someone who's got the right electronics kit, e.g. fiat examiner. Didn't do it on mine since it doesn't bother me

Thanks very much. Will pick it up tommorow, plug it in and see what happens.
At the worst its £45 down the drain.

Re: Stilo instrument cluster. Difference between 3 and 5 door?

the mileage is stored in the engine ecu and in the instrument cluster - it is not possible to write a lower value with the Examiner tester.
You can only change the value by reading and rewriting the contents of the eeprom with a programmer but you will have to know what data has to be changed and how it's done....
