It's usually the bottom coil that breaks, so it's often difficult to see.
Several people have posted on here that they didn't know they had a broken spring until they took the car for MOT, or a garage for other work.

That sound familiar, mine went in for its MOT and failed for a broken NSF spring.

on one side the owner does not even notice the spring is broken, often for months
on the other side people are screaming compensation (stilo spring thread of days gone by for example) and how dangerous a broken spring is
Well the car's 6 years old, its only done 32,000 miles. Car problems are a problem directly related to owning a car

The failure is caused by corrosion which is more closely linked to the age of the car than miles covered.I also pointed out that although the car is 6 years old its done what I consider to be low millage for a car of its age.

Got mine from Partco @ £41.85 each, on box it says 1.9jtd front, so they must be same for wagon as on a hatch.
