Are there plans for support with later updates.
I bought a Gendan elm based interface earlier this year
and have a cheaper Chinese unit too.

That would be great! Stilo airbags are a common problem (as I have recently found ) so that would be a fantastic feature!

I know your software is freeware, but I think you should have one of those paypal 'Donate' buttons on your site. I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to donate a little if your software helps them to trace a fault with their car (I know I would.)

You can do Stilo airbags already with SanderQV's KWP71 diag and also alfadiag.

No matter what software - you will need to modify your KKL interface to do this. ABS is on Pin1 and Airbag on Pin3 of the diagnostic connector, so if you want to communicate with them you can either merge pin 1,3 and 7 together or fit a switch to select between them.

Saying that the interface in this new software is excellent, maybe you could look at taking the data from some of the unidiag/kwp71 definition files and adding them into your program yani?

Brilliant! Need to get to the bottom of this airbag fault ASAP. By merging the pins, will it not affect any other functionality?

When i search for SanderQV it often refers to Unidiag... are they the same thing? Will unidiag do airbags?

Unidiag does do some airbags - but not the stilo ones so KWP71 diag works on those. Join the unidiag group on yahoo (its been mentioned on here a few times).

Merging the pins together shouldnt cause you problems as the control units attached to each pins have different addresses so you wont get conflicts when they are initialised.

I already have the data from another source. It just takes time to add the data for each ECU.
Also, speaking about airbags - they use another protocol for communication, so I need to implement it first... Anyway, I will do it, it's just a matter of time...

Just bought a cable but no luck with my JTD (non OBD compliant).

Not sure if this is due to a non supported ECU but the Gendan software works fine on mine.

Can anyone confirm success with a JTD ?

Dropping the FIFO buffers down to the minimum can help with connection issues, it in the driver properties for the virtual com port in device manager.

I know Johnson550 has had it going with his mjet sporting, not a non-eobd compliant JTD granted.

Make sure the plug is all the way in as well, as the quality of these devices is often a little flaky. To test the serial side is working okay connect the interface to the car, open hyperterminal (at any speed) and if the device is powered when you will get the characters echoing back. If not the KKL interface isnt getting any power.

It works on my Marea JTD 110 at least Ive done errors I havent fathomed the rest out yet but it connects up first time everytime.

My 1.2 does nothing when trying to connect (Bosch ABS 5.7) and then the software gives up. Bridging the pins lets me connect for a brief second before the software says 'Reconnecting,' and at the same moment, the car comes up with ABS, EBD, ASR failure until i unplug the interface. Unidiag works fine straight away but the scaling is well out... can't find a compatible def file for the 1.2 16v stilo

erm Ive got a problem with connecting it to my stilo. Ive cable, picked right 'com' the msg is saying connecting to ecu - in bttm left corner its sayin 'connecting...' and after about 10s 'disconnected' what to do?
