You have to connect 7 on the connector to 3,9... on the circuit board by switch. Then you can switch pin 7 on the connector to one of you want on the circuit board.

I have Stilo 1.9 jtd 115HP 2002. When I locks the car, direction indicators not flashing. Can I change this option? I saw in ''How to use'' section that it possible but when I connect to engine ECU I don't have that option.

Ok im officially stumped...

Ive wired the cable with a switch between 7c and 3 and 1,7 & 9 (c = on the circuit board). I can connect to the ecu (although it says latency too high), but when i switch to airbag i get no ECU response shortly followed by a fiatecuscan crash (ive tried unplugging everything between the switch).

Is this a software glitch yani? or could it be the cable or somthing else?? is there other software i could try for MY99 airbags?

How long for the V1.4 ELM support, will this do my airbags, should i wait?

Please help.... , im not going to let these airbags get the better of me! :bang::bang::bang::bang:

Thanks
TBS

1. Is your laptop fast enough? I recommend 1.6GHz.
2. Do you have other running programs on the laptop when you run FiatECUScan. I recommend to close everything.
3. The crashing is probably due to a problem in .NET framework. Try installing updates to the .NET framework. You can find them on Microsoft's site.
4. There are some posts about the version of FTDI drivers. Check if these drivers need updating, too.

I have no luck with the ELM 1.4 so far. I'm still testing, but it doesn't seem to support the fiat ISO9141 protocol (which is used for the airbags) properly.

Hi all,

is it possible to reset the service light with this diagnostic tool, or with any atermarket diagnostic tool, or is it a job for the main fiat agent

thanks
Charlie

Are you using fiatecuscan 2.2 version? Are you connecting to Body Computer ore some oder Computer. I can't connect to Body Comp. It's only possible with registered version.

You should only post to this thread is you have problems using the diagnostic software (read it from the start too).

If you want help fixing your motor then post in the main sections below

Love ecu scan software, just downloaded 2.3. Slight nuisance, on my car, I can connect to all modules except abs, airbag and steering which all give timed out message. I've used both vagcom and 327 cables. No other issues, everything works except these! I'm not to fussed as o have no problems with these areas. Just interested if there is a fix available? I use standard default timings on both leads except dropped connection speed to 2ms to remove low latency warning, baud rates etc same as windows sets out of the box.

The service light reset is on the free version.
Not on my version 2.3.1, the program flashes up the warning that it is not available on the unregistered version and will therefore only run in simulation mode. Unless I am missing something here, can anybody confirm?

ELM 327 Interface is required for following ECUs
- Service Interval Reset for Fiat Stilo/Punto/Doblo/Idea/Panda/Bravo/Croma/Linea, Alfa 147/GT/159/Brera, Lancia Delta
- Delphi/Marelli Body Computer (Punto MK2)
- Marelli MF Body Computer (Stilo)
- Visteon Instrument Panel (Stilo)
- Marelli Instrument Panel (Punto MK2)
- Valeo parking control
- BITRON Dirver door, Passenger door and Boot
- G.E. PROCOND Dirver door, Passenger door and Boot
- TRW Dirver door and Boot
- Remote control programming (Stilo, Punto)

picked from the fiatecuscan web page
some people have got away with non genuine
cheap Chinese clones but they are hit and miss.

Try each of the three in turn. If you've chosen the wrong one, a red warning screen will appear saying "INVALID ISO CODE - Do you want to connect anyway? Press Y or N". Press N then try the next one. Once you've got the correct one for the car, it will connect without the red warning screen.

I think 1 is for basic steering and 3 is for full VDC. I've no idea what 2 is for.

Hi Yani,

Just seen your message regarding the Stilo JTD diagnostic software. I understand I need a cable to go between my laptop and the car's diagnostic socket? Could you suggest one that will work?

Thanks,
elboy

He can't simply because there's a flood of "fake" none genuine cables out there which will do the job on some cars but not on a modern Fiat.

For a Stilo you need a "ELM327 Cable" preferably a v1.3a. Do a search on ebay and don't buy the cheapest as it will likely be a fake.

I bought this one only to find it was a non genuine v1.4a so avoid this:-

I understand when reading the Engine ECU its gives loads a data, inc boost pressure, my question is does it show the parameters/range of all the figures you should get for a well running JTD if everything is OK, or if as I suspect not, does anyone have any data. My problem area is a power dip at over 3000 rpm, maybe a turbo problem, but maybe not, cars been on Fiat "Examiner" at main dealer and they say it shows no fault, which is odd.
