I want to be able to do a proxy alignment, reset of service due message, and read error codes, wich cable should I use?
I read about the VAG cable, but that doesn't seem to be able to do a proxy alignment, or am I wrong? I'm buying the cable & software this week...

The ELM cable can do all the things you want.

from the FES website, would i be right in assuming, purchasing of the OBDkey interface and the full version on FES would give me access to all of the features on the stilo (provided i make the necessary shorts)?

EDIT: just looked up OBDkey compared to ELM prices :O

im not clear on what the chart on FES says, when it says youll need "A2" (adapter cable 2) does this mean with any interfae, or only with the ones mentioned previously?

I.E. do i HAVE to have OBDkey to access Stilo airbags?

Yes.

You can either modify the cable connector by joining pins together or use the three ready-made adaptors supplied by Gendan and known as A1, A2 and A3.

No... you can access everything except airbags with an ELM327 cable and interface. You can access airbags with a cheap VAG-COM cable.

Hi,

this question may have already been asked but im looking at buying the fiat scan software. Can anyone tell me what a need, i.e. what type of cable or adapter i will need if i want to do the following things to my car:

-reset service light
-PROXI Alignment
-live data graphs

the cars a fiat stilo 1.6 active sport 2004

Hi,
You will need an "elm 327" lead
Plenty for sale on ebay for about £15
Have a look on the fiat ecu scan forum , plenty of info there

Hi,
I replaced my menual A/C with automatic climate control unit in my Stilo 1.6. Will it be ever possible to do Proxi-alignment, that distance (km) on my cluster won't blink? Has anyone ever doing it?

Hi,

I'm from Slovenia and i have Fiatecuscan, becuse i need it, to do a proxy procedure to stop blink km(distance) on my dials (retrofit a Connect Nav+ unit). So i did it again (proxy procedure) becuse i replaced my menual climate control unit in my Stilo with automatic, and the distance on dials are stil(again

) bilinking.
Any ideas what to do?

My interface (http://www.pagershop.nl/product_info.php?products_id=733) was delivered today, with additional software (Finalist).
Finalist works great with the interface, but FES doesn't seem to find the interface... Should I do something extra? (I changed the latency allready)

You can fit a time delay switch ( set to 4 or 5 seconds will do) to the power that will let the car do its checking but miss the connect nav out, stops the blinking.

Hi.

I just tried to use the software for the first time and I got it connected ok. But the only thing I could connect to wasthe engine section.

How come I can't get into anything else? Oh I can get into the ABS but it says in the corner 'Latency too high'

I need to be able to get into the power steering as its defo not working properly.
