This might be usefull for me too

my driver's one doesnt clear, ill have a look in the morning and ill post a few pics if i get chance or figure antthing out

Anyone managed to fix theirs yet??

Yes and no :p

New part has arrived - Yay.............with a chip on the mirror glass :bang:

So am getting it changed, but went out and had a play and swapped it around to see if it heats up and :D :D :D I had heat!

And alot more heat than the drivers side. It's like they slowly pack up over the years, so am concidering also getting a drivers side so that they're both new and really warm (y)

Will probably get pic's uploaded tomorrow now (y)

Will do a guide also.

Jon.

I think these days folk tend to switch on the heated rear windscreen then just leave it on for their entire journey!

I'm from the old School, you switch it on until your screen is begining to clear that way you don't kill your battery! Modern cars are so namby pamby! lol

Most modern cars have them on timers tbh. Stilo's goes off after about 10min or so. (y)

Well thats not so bad, but 10mins is still quite a long time! I switch mine on for just a few minutes at a time.... but then I am a seasoned mini ownered, 10mins could be the difference between the engine starting, and the battery giving its last before it goes flat lol.

Replaced the drivers side one on our stilo on Friday afternoon, I was not that happy with the part that came when I first saw it but turned out ok and it was only £14 item number 330370938538 quick delivery and heat seems very good but it was a self cut self fit back plate that was stuck on with strips of double sided tape, think it would have been better if it was a full sized sticky pad rather than strips but its still stuck on so I guess its ok!

Thanks for the fitting guide MEP

Ta for the listing number, might get one for my drivers side.

Would you mind posting a pic so that I can see what its like as they say they've the magnifying strips in their mirrors.

Jon.

yeah will do once I go out, looks very much like standard equipment but then again I have no idea if the one that was on the car had been there since new. Wish I had took a picture of it when it arrived. I was a little disappointed that the backing plate was a generic one and had to be cut to size.

Hi all,

Just wondering if its possible to retro fit these? Is the wiring standard on all cars, I'm assuming that these aren't just plug in and away you go...

Thanks

D.

My elm 327 obdll , said to me and also I changed my heated mirrors, yesterday, these are photos ,it is simple to change.

Should already be fitted, all UK spec Stilo are to the best of my knowledge, so probably just need to replace the mirror glass :)

Really - this is new to me, and i've had mine for over 11 years now... Hmmm my glass is looking a little worn around the edges so maybe worth replacing them and having a look.

Thanks
