Cheers,

I just bought a 2006 Fiat Stilo 3dr and wondered if anyone knows the part numbers for the original Stilo bluetooth kit.

I read somewhere that 2007 models (Stilo Blue) come with a bluetooth option installed, so it should be possible to retrofit my stilo with that, right?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Best,

Lars

Have a look on the Eper parts catalogue, it might be in there..

I fitted the fiat original Metablue system to my stilo (the one with the blue button). It works through the cd player with the volume being controlled from the cd player.

Only cost me £10.50 off ebay about 6 months ago.

The sound quality is good and it can be paired to multiple phones aswell.

The part number for it is: 50901459

Thanks, mate!
From which seller did you get it off Ebay? Any chance to buy it again at that price?

What else is needed?

Best,
Lars

I got my metablue from ebay for less than £15, but i havent seen any on ebay recently.

From fiat they are £158.65 with ff discount, and at that price i would not bother as metablue is not a full hands-free kit. Have alook on ebay for a parrot ck3100, this is a full hands-free kit with voice recognition and alot cheaper than metablue.

Yeah, havent seen any on ebay for a long time.

Got mine when a dealer put about 8 on at once during a clearout.

The parrot stuff is good stuff, I use to have a CK3000 in my punto before I got the stilo.

A follow-up question.

Earlier, when I installed the new speakers, sub and amp. etc. I was told (by the local ICE specialist) that I needed a mini-ISO to produce a line-out signal for my amp. After reading here at the forum I had my doubts, but they were 100% sure.

OK, so I bought the mini-ISO:

Didn't work ofcourse, so I rather bought a line converter and hacked onto the speaker wires. Worked like a dream.

But, what happened was that the OEM Stilo radio/CD told me I had plugged in a phone... Now it is quite some time since this project, but I am pretty sure the display stated "phone" or similar.

Does this mean this thing will work? See link below:
http://www.bilradiospes.no/m/shop/?produkt=566&katid=190&mid=m436&id=&vn=736

Now I know it's in Norwegian, and the price is rocket-high. But it states:

"Will work on Blaupunkt products from 2002. Not OEM stereos from Blaupunkt".

So why did my OEM stereo interpret a phone connection?

The Blaupunkt thing would actually be nice, since it kills two birds with one stone: bluetooth and usb-mp3. anyone ever tried this?
it's around 100 euros, so not too bad.

If you are using a an original Stilo radio, they are made by Visteon, but use Blaupunkt's CD changer protocol.

Anyway, most Blaupunkt radios provide pre-outs on a mini-iso block, but the Visteon radios probably use this for something else.. it may be by pluggin something into this it enabled muting or another input perhaps?

The ConnectNav+ has options for a handset to be plugged into it on some of the mini-iso pins and a 'hook' for hanging up the call. But if you look at a Blaupunkt pinout they are for line-out.

Well, here are the connectionblocks to the Visteon (Blaupunkt):

Rear side of the OEM unit. You have 3 mini-ISO connectors, where two have the same pin layout. I have no idea where the yellow mini-ISO goes, but it could be to the optional rear OEM sub. It is not connected to the ignition.

This will NOT work, but with this one connected, I got the "phone" message... And they did not provide any line-out.

I just got a reply from xcarlink. They state that their Fiat/Alfa Romeo USB/SD interface is now compatible with the 2006 Fiat Stilo Visteon CD radio.

They have a bluetooth option too.

Has anyone ever tried this?

I bought a Blaupunkt Bluetooth / USB interface. Does anyone know how to make it work with Visteon radio with CD? Visteon emulator does not recognize the changer. Even hands-free (Phone Mode) does not work. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks

If you need an answer I can pull my Connect Nav to see if the yellow does go to the factory sub?

Would the MetaBlue system also work with the Connect Nav+ system? As I don't really like taking my sim card out all the time..

Bit of a late one here, I have a 56 plate Stilo with the bluetooth system installed (the limited Stilo Blu model)

I ordered an XcarLink USB/SD card version for my car thinking It would be a straight forward "plug n play", but having taken the head unit out, I found a mysterious black plug occupying the slot where the XcarLink was meant to plug in. Now, not knowing what this plug was (was guessing it would be the bluetooth system plug) I grabbed my phone, switched bluetooth on, then turned on the ignition (having unplugged this plug) and waiting for the phone to pair with the car......... Nothing. So, for process of elimination, I plugged it back in again and repeated the process, this time the phone connects, bingo, its the plug that controls the hands free.

So having contacted XcarLink looking for a solution to me not being able to connect both items at once, I start digging around on my broken upper glovebox lid, hoping to find a way to fix it, and after removing the glovebox liner, a little mysterious plug was found to be lurking next to the airbag unit, and lo and behold, It's the mini ISO connector for the CD changer, assuming it wouldn't be there normally as there's a plug occupying It's space on the head unit.

Here's the images I sent to XcarLink for future reference for them (and hopefully some use to you guys here)

Black plug that fits into the port the XcarLink plug shown fitted into.
