Re: can you recommend a site for HPI check?

I've used http://www.hpicheck.com/newfrontend/ And https://www.mycarcheck.com/

Both do same thing except £24.95 and £3.95 respectivly. Main differences are hipcheck.com garentiee and will payout cash if wrong and you end up buying a duff car. Only used hipcheck as they had a free temp insurance deal that I needed (A weeks fully comp insurance for £24.95 basically which didn't seem to bad!).

I personally normally use mycarcheck.com though and have never had any problems. Brought up the CAT-C write off on Sister Panda (which I was aware of and confirmed details that seller quoted) and found out that one of my Panda's was stolen / recovered in Feb 2000

Jon.

Lol. (and easy to pinch, both Panda's on HPI register have been subject to 'stolen recovered' )

Text the cars reg number to 83600, costs £3.00 a time, limited info but mostly all you need to know.

Re: can you recommend a site for HPI check?

The problem I found was that different companies use different hpi companies............it's all supposed to be linked but trust me it aint......when I was looking at part exing the beast against a signum (Didn't buy it in the end) turned out the it had 999years left on outstanding finance then another house said it was still owing money but it all tuened out that anorld clark had registered it with experian and when the debt was paid off they never bothered to clear it but according there book it was all ok....so really use which ever one as long as the is ok.

Personally I'd just use the text one as said by Ffoxy and have someone who know s there way round a car.
