Posts: 4 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | Hi all, I'm new to the Fiat Forum, but not car forums. Before you shout at me, i've used the search engine to hunt for my answers, but still all very shaded and varied. I'm looking to buy a Stilo Selespeed. I want the Selespeed for the spec you get and the best of both worlds(manual and auto). I see there's very very varied opinions regarding the Selespeed. What I want you guys to tell me, is, sorry same old questions, what to specifically look for when viewing?? Whats the timing belt intervals? Is reliablilty as shocking as I hear? I won't be doing many miles in it. Weekend use really. Price I'm looking at paying, the cars have done between 50 to 70K. Basically, can you guys tell me what the pitfalls are with these cars?? Many many thanks in advance Alex

Make sure the car is cold though, when a little bit warm symptoms go. Cam belts are 60k and are quite expensive. Front coil springs go, check and see if they are original, if they are they may be on their way out. There are lots of little faults on the cars, but very good value for money i think

Posts: 98 Thanks: 1 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: Potential Abarth Selespeed Buyer i get kangaroo when on cold.. i just thought it was coz i was a crap driver using the selespeed so just take foot off the gas then reapply slowly... what causes the kangaroo hoping?? i 2nd that... i would check front sping coils, also on the a/c turn the heat up max and down cold make sure the motor doesnt stick. also check headlights adjust up n down and the motor isnt gone (expensive as fiat make u buy whole headlamp) also go for motorway drive.. give it some gas... make sure you dont get any vibration when applying accelatration as this could be your CAT going or gone or driveshaft... if you getting panaramic roof check it opens and closes a few times other than that normal things oil / coolant all electrics every window mirror a/c also check for the airbag warning light as this is common and a major pain in the arse!!!! anything else i missed guys as im buying my 2nd one this weekend so if i missed anything shout up!
